Canedo is now a dream
that can be seen with your own eyes, embraced with the palate and lodges
indelibly in your memory.
The person who chose
this place of yesteryear took root in a privilege and the person who built this
house had to be a dreamer, someone smitten by these lands and gullies sheltered
by the hills to protect their exuberance.
Two men dreamed up this mansion: the one who
built it almost three centuries ago and the one who dreamed of it again once it
had become neglected as he understood that these walls were meant to be restored
and its land was waiting to be worked once again.
The person who built this large house, this
noble and classicist palace, did so thinking of centuries. He was truly
dedicated. He built the structure with the solidity of well set stone, he armed
its floors with sturdy chestnut beams, filled the interior with spaciousness and
warmth.
This great house had a noble soul and
insides bursting with zeal and bustle. It was dignity in the form of a wall of
the Estate of Canedo. |
